SecureMac Releases PrivacyScan 1.9 to Support macOS Sierra (10.12)

Posted on October 4, 2016

Las Vegas, NV, October 4th, 2016 – SecureMac, one of the key contributors in the Mac security world, today announced the release of PrivacyScan 1.9, its popular privacy protection software for Mac users.  PrivacyScan 1.9 includes support for macOS Sierra (10.12) and addresses other bugs from earlier versions of the software.

“It’s been well documented that there has been a dramatic increase in threats against Mac users in the past several years,” said Nicholas Raba, President of SecureMac.  “We spend our lives striving to keep the Mac user-community as safe and secure to prevent them from becoming the next victim.  This latest software release is designed to give those using the new macOS Sierra an added level of privacy protection.”

PrivacyScan securely removes files used for tracking your computer usage and online whereabouts, including internet browsing history, cache files, cookies, search history, recent items and much more.  Like its sister product, MacScan 3, PrivacyScan gives users a quick and easy way to get started and allows them to configure the program to fit their needs and habits.

PrivacyScan 1.9 is available for $14.99 USD and is available worldwide through the Mac App Store. SecureMac offers a free 15-day fully functional demo available directly from the PrivacyScan website. Existing PrivacyScan users can upgrade to the latest version free of charge.
